Another type of tri-ply cookware is made with three different materials: stainless steel, aluminum and copper. The difference between the first version of tri-ply and this version is the copper is laminated on the outer bottom of the pots and pans to help induce heat. The aluminum is still in the middle and the stainless steel covering the outer layers to complete the creation.
